Dolomite Microfluidics, a sister company to flow chemistry specialist Syrris, has developed an innovative range of Micro Droplet Systems for automatic, seamless production of monodispersed droplets. Built around Dolomite’s pulseless pressure pumps, connectors and chips, Micro Droplet Systems benefit a wide range of applications, including compartmentalized chemistry, high throughput experiments, polymeric microspheres and the production of emulsions. They are also ideal for droplet-based nanoparticle synthesis, offering tight control over reagent loading and mixing, generating nanoparticles with excellent dispersity and high reproducibility.

Micro Droplet Systems provide a pulseless, stable liquid flow over operating pressures from 0 to 10 bar, and offer outstanding chemical resistance. Available with a range of Droplet Junction Chips with different junction geometries, channel sizes and surface properties, the systems enable production of highly monodispersed water-in-oil or oil-in-water droplets from Ø 5 to Ø 200 μm from research scale up to a tonne per month. The excellent optical transparency of the chips ensures clear droplet imaging. Customized chips tailored to specific individual requirements are also available, as well as a broad selection of optional accessories such as high speed optical systems, larger reservoirs, reagent kits and flow sensors. From the Pressure-based Droplet Starter System to the powerful, high throughput Telos System, there is a Micro Droplet System to suit all scientists, whether they are new to the technique or experienced researchers.
