The compact Minichiller® from HUBER reduces water consumption to zero, offering a low cost, chilled water supply with environmentally friendly refrigeration for a variety of laboratory applications.

Minichiller®
With the ever rising cost and environmental impact of waste water, Scientists and Facility Managers are increasingly looking for alternative ways of cooling applications in the laboratory. A calculation, based on water consumption, shows that in a working week (8-hours a day, 5 days a week), the Minichiller® saves approximately 48,000 litres of water, and as the Minichiller® is low in cost, it offers a fast return on investment which can be measured in months.
The compact Minichiller® is designed as a space saving tower and with a footprint of just 225 x 360mm the Huber Minichiller® takes up less bench space than many laptops. With a temperature range of -20 to +40°C and cooling capacity of 300 watts at 15°C, Minichillers® are ideal for cooling reaction blocks, vapour traps, vacuum pump condensers, rotary evaporators or heat exchangers, supplying predictable and correct pressure, flow and temperature to applications resulting in tangible process efficiencies. Because the Minichiller’s® internal volume is only 2 litres, it eliminates the risk of flooding in the laboratory. This allows the process to be run unattended further increasing efficiency.
The Minichiller® features an easy to use Microprocessor control with a large temperature display. Alternatively for applications requiring more functionality the controller can be supplied as an “Advanced” version which includes an RS232 interface and an external Pt100 sensor connection. The Minichiller® is also available with 1kW heating power and extended temperature range from -20°C to 100°C.
Minichillers® are available as both water and air-cooled units and with standard or advanced functionality. All units are CFC and H-CFC free and use natural refrigerants.
