Bio-Rad’s recently introduced SsoFast™ probes supermix is a reagent that enables researchers using fluorogenic probes to enhance the speed, reliability, and sensitivity of their qPCR experiments.
By combining Bio-Rad’s patented Sso7d fusion polymerase with an optimized buffer formulation, the SsoFast probes supermix yields fast duplex qPCR results in 30 minutes or less compared to other similar products that require 40 minutes or more. SsoFast probes supermix pushes the limits of fast qPCR, while maintaining a broad dynamic range of detection, reliability, and accurate quantification. Furthermore, this polymerase is significantly more resistant to PCR inhibitors, making SsoFast probes supermix an ideal choice for demanding qPCR applications.
“Bio-Rad’s hot-start Sso7d-fusion polymerase enables our PCR reagents to address researchers’ constant need for faster time-to-results,” said Viresh Patel, Marketing Manager, PCR Reagents. “The SsoFast probes supermix provides researchers using fluorogenic probes for gene expression analysis the fast results they seek.”
Researchers can incorporate the SsoFast probes supermix effortlessly in their real-time PCR experiments. The supermix is fully compatible with universal cycling conditions and a wide range of primer/probe concentrations without requiring additional optimization. It can also be used on both fast and standard cycling instruments without protocol changes.
The performance of SsoFast probes supermix is enhanced when used with Bio-Rad’s CFX96 or CFX384 Real-Time PCR Systems. The thermal uniformity and detection capabilities of the instrument take full advantage of the supermix’s fast polymerase and optimized formulation to deliver fast, reproducible qPCR results.
