“We have seven production plants for customers in this market where we effectively combine local production operations with our global expertise. Gerresheimer’s acquisition of Védat last year demonstrated just how significant the Latin and South American pharma market is for the group.” explained Jens Friis, Gerresheimer’s Vice President Plastic Packaging South America.

The new plastic Pharmaceutical Packaging Catalog, which includes the products from Gerresheimer Plásticos São Paulo, Gerresheimer Védat and Gerresheimer Buenos Aires in Portuguese and Spanish presents on 30 pages a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical packaging products and systems. It features dropper bottles for eye drops, spray bottles for nasal sprays, PET bottles for cough medicine, PE containers for tablets, plus a wide range of caps, closures and all kinds of accessories such as dosing caps, droppers, measuring cups, dosing syringes and the product group of applicators. The new product catalogue can also be downloaded from the internet.

As a global pharmaceutical packaging supplier, besides displaying its complete South American product portfolio, Gerresheimer will also show various products coming from its other sites around the world, such as the awarded new MultiShellTM vials for Parenteral medications that have a unique triple-layer structure consisting of a layer of polyamide sandwiched between two COP (Cyclic Olefin Polymer) layers that functions as an oxygen barrier, resulting in a 40 times reduction of oxygen transmission compared with conventional plastic type vials.

Gerresheimer will also be showcasing a comprehensive range of Mexican-made transparent and brown borosilicate glass at FCE Pharma. It extends from glass category III to neutral glass of type I and from vials, ampoules and cartridges to ready-to-fill disposable syringes.
