Syrris has won a prestigious 2012 R&D 100 Award for Asia…

World-leading flow chemistry manufacturer Syrris has won a prestigious 2012 R&D 100 Award for Asia, its revolutionary range of advanced flow chemistry systems. As the longest established provider of laboratory scale flow chemistry systems, Syrris’ wealth of expertise in research and development – as well as its patented technologies – has propelled the modular Asia product line to the forefront of the flow chemistry market. Designed by chemists, for chemists, Asia enables an extensive range of chemical reactions, at a wide range of temperatures and pressures, with different levels of automation to suit individual laboratory needs.

The esteemed R&D 100 Awards are a benchmark of excellence, with winners chosen by an independent panel of judges and the editors of R&D Magazine. This award recognizes the significance of flow chemistry and, in particular, Syrris’ contribution to a technology that is enabling chemists to perform faster, safer and cleaner reactions. Syrris’ success was achieved by establishing that the Asia flow chemistry system improves upon existing technologies, providing evidence of the system’s benefits, including its modularity and wide range of chemical compatibility, and demonstrating how this technology is proving a useful tool for chemists working in such diverse areas as academia and the pharmaceutical, petrochemical and nanoparticle industries.

Mike Hawes, CEO of Syrris, commented: “We are delighted that the Asia system has been announced as a winner of the 50th Annual R&D Awards, acknowledging the success of this groundbreaking technology, and look forward to attending the presentation ceremony in November.”
