The TacticID has been enhanced in three significant areas; user safety, mixture analysis, and library volume.

With safety as B&W Tek’s first priority, they have added two additional safety features: remote operation and scan delay. With these features, users can now stand a safe distance away from potentially explosive materials while the TacticID does the rest. Once the data is collected, this information can also be wirelessly transferred from the handheld unit to a computer.

The TacticID also features industry-leading advanced chemometric mixture analysis capabilities, so any additional compounds or ingredients within a sample are clearly identified on screen.

The TacticID-N model (targeted specifically for identifying narcotics) now boasts the largest available library of nearly 1,000 narcotics, pharmaceutical drugs, cutting agents and precursors.
