Join this webinar to hear from industry expert Vincent Jannin as he shares more about how to overcome your technical obstacles and explores the future of dosage form and delivery.

Each stage of the drug development process is beset with continually increasing challenges and risks.

The high-risk stage of drug development can be mitigated by utilising dosage forms developed to reduce the probability of failure. As time to market is becoming critical, turnaround times for new formulations can be improved by collaborating with industry experts. The approximate cost – $2.3 billion* – to develop and produce a new drug, can be reduced by optimising the manufacturing process.

The Lonza Capsule Application Lab typically supports three categories of projects: formulation development, capsule customisation and process development.

Formulation: The Capsule Application Lab can formulate active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) with either standard formulations or enabling technologies, develop new capsules and implement new processes, such as granulation.

Capsule customisation: The Capsule Application Lab can develop capsules of various sizes, designs and with various polymers.

Process development: The team at Lonza can set encapsulation process parameters both for liquid filling and powder filling and produce technical batches that can be used for early stability testing or evaluation.
