Whitepaper: Futurising the QC lab with automated endotoxin testing

Nicola Reid, Associate Director of Product Management, Microbial Solutions, Charles River looks at implementing robotic endotoxin testing for throughput optimisation and human error reduction.

Bacterial endotoxin testing is a critical safety checkpoint within the biopharmaceutical industry, in areas from incoming raw materials, through final manufactured product release. However, conventional testing methods have historically caused unnecessary bottlenecks as reliable and repeatable results could not be quickly obtained.

Automation and rapid test methods such as LAL cartridge technology, aid in compliance with Annex 1 and Pharma 4.0, and can assist in futureproofing laboratories.
