Application note: Implementing MicroNIR™ family of sensors for PAT/QbD applicationsSince the introduction of the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and Quality by Design (QbD) manufacturing initiatives, Near Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy quickly became the tool of choice for measuring raw and in process material properties due to its versatility and non-destructive nature.

Fifteen years after the onset of PAT, NIR is still the number one choice of most practitioners for applications of raw material inspection, material conformity, blending, granulation, loss on drying, content uniformity and compaction.
