FLEX-500 - all-in-one serialization

The VISIOTT FLEX-500 combines serialization, weight control and tamper-evident labelling in a single, modular machine. This compact, stainless-steel system is purpose-built for manufacturers who need compliant, high-speed production without committing to a fixed, one-size-fits-all line.

With the FLEX-500, manufacturers weigh, serialize, and tamper-seal a product on a single line — weight control accurate to ±0.1 g, paired with OCR/OCV cameras that verify every applied code before it moves on. Non-compliant units are removed automatically, with no manual catch required. The same system serves pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and medical device lines alike.

Modular by design

FLEX-500 isn’t sold as one fixed bundle — a line can start with tamper-evident sealing alone, serialization and checkweighing together, or the complete four-module line, depending on what’s needed today. Some configurations are also built upgrade-ready: the standalone tamper-evident version comes serialization-ready for when full traceability is needed, and the flap control + checkweigher + serialization line is designed for later tamper-evident integration — specific growth paths planned in from the start, not a claim that any module fits any machine.

Precision weight control

Every product is weighed within a 5 g to 1000 g range at ±0.1 g accuracy, with out-of-tolerance units identified and removed automatically by a piston or nozzle reject mechanism. The weighing station shares its base and controls with the rest of the FLEX-500, so it’s never a second system to manage.

Verified serialization

A unique 2D code is applied to every product and verified by an OCR/OCV camera system before it leaves the line, confirming it’s present, correctly printed, and readable — using TIJ, laser, or CIJ print technology matched to the application. A misprinted or unreadable code is caught immediately, not discovered downstream.

Tamper-evident sealing

Transparent, perforated tamper-evident labels are applied and checked by sensors to confirm correct placement, in line with EU FMD and Turkey’s national requirements. Faulty seals are removed from the line automatically before packing. The module works on its own, or combined with serialization and weight control for full track-and-trace coverage.

Built for global compliance

The FLEX-500 is designed to meet GMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, OIML, MID, EU FMD, and US DSCSA requirements — in one machine rather than a different station for each standard. That matters most for exporters and contract packagers running the same line across several destination markets, where new rules mean a configuration change, not new equipment.

Full traceability integration

The FLEX-500 connects directly to VISIOTT’s Line Manager (Level 2) and Plant Manager (Level 3) software, so serialization, weighing, and labelling data flow into the same traceability system used to manage the rest of the line. Every operation — from module setup to daily production runs — is managed from a single touch-screen interface, so operators don’t need to jump between separate systems for weighing, serialization, and sealing.
