Cresset, innovative provider of computational chemistry software and services, has provided a donation to Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research’s (NIBR) in support of their TExts to Sub-Saharan Africa (TESSA) project. This project donates textbooks to Kenyan university libraries.

Dr. Lewis Whitehead, computational medicinal chemist at NIBR says, “Textbooks have proved invaluable to students over the years. Now that many developed countries are turning to online learning resources, NIBR’s TESSA project is using this opportunity to send the redundant textbooks to Sub-Saharan Africa. We welcome the donation from Cresset to help us in this project.”

“Cresset is delighted to support NIBR’s project,” says Dr. David Bardsley, Cresset’s Commercial Director. “As a company, Cresset is committed to creating software that advances the understanding of the biological effects of molecular changes. We wholeheartedly support NIBR’s project to increase scientific knowledge in sub-Saharan Africa.”
