Largest European event for protein and antibody engineering returns to Lisbon…

PEGS Europe 2014

More than 500 delegates will participate in Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Sixth Annual PEGS Europe Summit in Lisbon, Portugal from 3-7 November. PEGS Europe is the leading European event covering all aspects of antibody engineering, biologics development, and protein expression and will feature 130 technical presentations, 100+ posters, 40+ sponsors & exhibitors, dedicated networking opportunities, exclusive poster viewing hours, interactive roundtable discussions, and five hands-on short courses.

This year’s conference will kick off with a Plenary Keynote Session featuring Dr. Steffen Gross from the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut and Dr. Dario Neri from ETH Zurich. Dr. Gross will discuss the impact of the new regulatory guidance landscape on the manufacturing of biological products as well as the characterisation of starting materials, drug substances and drug products. Dr. Neri will review the current progress being made with armed antibody products which are capable of selective localization at the site of disease. This strategy aims at concentrating therapeutic agents in diseased parts of the body, while sparing normal tissues.

PEGS Europe is a three-stream, five-day event, and consists of nine conference tracks:

ANTIBODY ENGINEERING STREAM

  • Phage & Yeast Display
  • Constructs & Scaffolds
  • Cancer Biotherapeutics

BIOLOGICS DEVELOPMENT STREAM

  • Optimization & Development
  • Aggregates & Particles
  • Characterizing Biotherapeutics

PROTEIN EXPRESSION STREAM

  • Difficult to Express Proteins
  • Optimizing Protein Expression
  • Antibody Expression
